HOWTO create own ARCHETYE (eclipse 3.6 SR1, maven 3.x)

Summary (all inforation presented here : Archetype creation)

  1. Configure eclipse (RUN – External Tools Configuration)
  2. creation own archetype in Eclipse

1. Create the project which you wish been as archetype. When you will create it use new -> project -> maven project.
And enter inforation like this :
groupID ……..  info.abnsoft.java.maven.arhchetype
artifactID …… abn-some-appSo then you can use your …./repository/info/abnsoft/java/maven/archetype/ folder LIKE ARCHETYPE-CATALOG

So, a little configure eclipse for automation your work :

2. at firstly :

Calling mvn archetype:create-from-project the plugin first resolves the package by guessing the project directory.
Use for this “MAVEN CREATE-FROM-PROJECT” run comand from eclipse

then :

run mvn install run command – this command change directory to created archetype and run mavn install from it
